The end of the year is slowly creeping up upon us, and we will all be very busy, so we won't have enough time to sit down and enjoy ourselves. Don't you worry, I've got your back! There will be a few reviews for you to read, and they might give you the right mix you would like to listen to over the next few days. The first one is one J.O.E. made a month ago, and the focus lies solely with Hard Trance from around the Millennium. Don't know what the cover picture represents, certainly not anything to do with Hard Trance. But who cares?
It's nearly Christmas, so left dive straight into the mix. No mucking about. When Hardcore/Gabber faded into the underground in 1999, I decided that it was time for me to venture into a new world. One that I had not followed that much before, but I was interested in already. That was going to be Trance music, but which side of Trance? Of course the harder side of it. It did not resemble Hardcore in any way, shape or form, but at least it was hard. Ish.
The late 90s and early 00s were great years for Trance, in general. Many ravers will remember those awesome tunes, those that dominated the dancefloors. J.O.E. selected a few from around that time, and included a few which I've not heard before. He always delivers, and his mixes are awesome. But is his Hard Trance mix a good one? Or is it one you should leave?

This is a very good looking tracklist, but what's more important, is the actual mix. And it's as good as you would expect it to be. J.O.E. has done it yet again. A marvellous mix, which also received a lot of positive feedback on Soundcloud. And I underline those comments.
It's a tight mix, and the start of the mix is immense. It starts off with such a tremendous record, I keep on repeating that one. But the rest of the mix also contains awesome records. Boy, does this mix take me back to my younger years or what?! I devoured Hard Trance back in the day, and it's been a huge and important factor of my youth. Yes, Gabber will never be replaced as my first true love, but Hard Trance is close second.
It's yet another epic mix. And it's always pleasant to see DuMonde a.k.a. Jam-X & De Leon in a mix. Those were my favourite Hard Trance producers back in the day. And of course Push. If he's in a mix, it's going to be a good one.
J.O.E. has given us a tremendous mix to celebrate the last few days of 2024. Fuck those Christmas anthems, play some more Hard Trance, eh?
