All Night Long 'BLACK CIRCUIT' Liveset - Bootshaus (2024)

The weekend has landed. Well, it's nearly over, but we do still have a few hours left. And within those few hours, we can listen to something amazing. You might have heard of a DJ called Miss K8? You might recognise the name, hopefully. She has been in the scene for quite some time now, and has been causing a lot of tremor on the dancefloor. This Ukrainian DJ has been on many flyers and her songs have appeared on many compilations, and with that, we have to conclude that she is certainly a powerful individual that likes to entertain the masses in front of her.

She is powerful individual, and knowing that, it was an obvious decision to ask her to have an 'All Night Long' event, where the focus lies solely with Miss K8, or her alter ego, Kateryna Kremko (which is her real name, which she uses for her Techno alter ego). The location in question was Bootshaus, in Cologne. Miss K8 went, and destroyed the place. Well, that's the impression I get, from her set. She actually has 2 sets on her Soundcloud channel. We'll get to that in a minute.

This club, I had never heard of it. It only came to my attention after seeing Rooler's set at this club. It looks insane, and it has good reviews. Wish I could just pop in and experience it. That would be insane.

The two sets I found were divided into 'Singularity' and 'Black Circuit'. In short, the Singularity set was focussed on Miss K8 and her rise to fame from her first release to her latest. So you got everything Miss K8 related, in 66 minutes. The Black Circuit bit focusses on her own roots in the wonderful world of music. The set contains records by artists that influenced her, to become a producer and DJ herself. She got 31 records that meant the most to her, and put them in an hour long set. And that's the one I'm focussing on right now.

Which 31 records did she pick?

  1. Black Circuit - Intro

  2. Manu le Malin - Ghost Train (Vitalic Remix)

  3. Mad Dog - Il Futuro

  4. Kobbe, Balthazar & JackRock - Moonshine

  5. Cancel - Peer Test

  6. Mython - Perishable Emotions

  7. Hardtrax, O.B.I. feat Dunkelkammer - Asche & Staub

  8. Weichentechnikk - High Tension

  9. Rikhter - Syndikat

  10. VXPX - Acid Talker (WarinD Remix)

  11. Waldhaus - Make Your Transitions

  12. Waldhaus - Anathema

  13. Alignment - Old School

  14. Klangkuenstler feat Sant - Toter Schmetterling

  15. Coolio, 1 World, Holy Priest - Gangsta's Paradise

  16. Sara Landry x Nico Moreno - Because They Want Our Seat

  17. DJ Hammond - The Hive

  18. Richie Gee - Industrial Resistance

  19. Jayron - Knock Knock

  20. Manji, Holy Priest - No Balance

  21. The Satan - No More Words

  22. Tymon - Gucci (I:Gor Remix)

  23. Angerfist - Strangle And Mutilate (Negative A & Counterfeit Remix)

  24. Mindustries - Craftiest Trick

  25. I:Gor - Too Hot

  26. Project Omeaga - Prednison Attack Remix (N-Vitral Remix/New Mashup)

  27. Sei2ure - War

  28. DaY-Mar - Embrace The Night

  29. Negative A - Freebase

  30. Angerfist - Right Through Your Head (Tieum Remix)

  31. eDUB - Venom

This is as diverse as things come. I wasn't expecting a list like this one, nor was I expecting the quality of these records. Miss K8 had picked the finest records out there, and they might be slightly rougher and raw compared to what you are used to. But oh my God, are these tracks insane?

This is a rough set. I do love a set that stands out, and takes you on a musical journey. To get a glimpse into the wonderful world of Miss K8, that's not a bad thing, right? And boy, does she love her darker and more industrial sounding anthems. I did appreciate this set a lot, and if I was there, in Cologne, I would not have left the dancefloor at all.

I've got no negative comments. The set is dope as fuck. And it takes you on a wonderful journey. There are so many anthems in this set you don't hear that often, and it's wicked to hear them again. And obviously I had to pick a favourite record. That would turn out to be a bit of a pickle, as I do love 'Embrace The Night' when it came out, and it still remained a powerful anthem, but 'War' is now my favourite.

Go and check it out, and check out the other set too, if you want more of Miss K8.
