Wahey! It's Saturday. Time to relax, and unwind. And time for us to take a trip down memory lane, to the roots. And this isn't just your standard mix you are about to listen to, it's a promo mix for an event, which takes place on the 24th of May 2025. The event is called 'Back To The Roots', and it's got some big names on the flyer: Fabio & Grooverider, Micky Finn, Rat Pack, Brockie, SS, Kenny Ken, Ratty, and many more. And as you all know, I'm a sucker for the early day rave music, so I had to jump on this mix.

The DJ in question, who made this promo mix, is Dave Junglist. And for his 2 hour long mix, he has gone all out. I spotted this mix the other week, and after a quick look, I knew I had to give this mix a go. The tracklist is filled with those memorable anthems from back in the day. You know, the ones we still love and adore. And those songs still get people on the dancefloors, all over the world.

Unfortunately I cannot go to this event, but at least I got a glimpse in what to expect. And if these tracks are played, you know it will all blow up, right? The dancefloor massive will loose their freaking minds. Whistles everywhere, glowsticks flying through the air, and feet stomping the ground like never before.

This has got so many great anthems in here, it's mind boggling. This took me back to the 90s, within a split second. The selection is great. Dave Junglist has certainly picked a lot of great anthems.

You know when certain tracks are played, the dancefloor always fills up. And dedicated fans will immediately go to the speakers. Why? Well, have you ever been to a rave where they played LFO with LFO? You know what I'm talking about. That bass is so filthy. But there are a few others in this mix with the same level of filth. And I love it.

The selection is great, and the mix is too. Not flawless, and sometimes the recording quality goes down, which makes me wonder if these are LPs used for this mix. And at certain moments, in my car, the speakers would be trembling so much, I had to turn the volume down, which never happens. It might be a recording issue, I presume?

But it's still a highly enjoyable mix. Worth turning the volume up, but not to the max. And if you are into the early day rave music, why not go to this event, and have a blast. A blast back into the past?

Best record? ''Sub Dub'' by DJ Seduction. Great record. Truly great record!
