It is Thursday, one day closer to the weekend. It has been hot throughout, and guess what? We are expecting rain this weekend! Of course. Throughout the week it's been hot, and the weekend lands, and we are to relax.. but oh no. Rain is going to spoil the fun. Ruin it for all of us. But I found something that might keep us warm, when we are sitting inside of our houses. Something powerful enough, to get us up from our chairs, and it might even make you dance.
If you know Quosh, you know it's a huge label. Unfortunately due to circumstances, things changed, and we are left with a label that hasn't released anything for quite some time now. To be precise, 11 years ago. Back in 2013 the last release took place. The label has had some amazing releases over the years, and it's been influential to many upcoming producers, and have given us fans a lot to dance to. And they've given DJs the tunes that could turn a boring rave into a fantastic event.
Claxton made this mix, dedicated to Quosh. And it's got a lot of awesome records in them. 35 to be precise. They have had more releases on this label, but these 35 are good enough to keep us entertained for 79 minutes, right? And we all love a bit of UKHC history. If you were old enough when these dominated the dancefloors all over the UK, consider yourself lucky. These were ace records, and still loved by many, decades after their release date.
But which records did Claxton use for his mix?

This is blowing my mind! The amount of records is insane, but it's the quality of the records that blow me away. You cannot get these records anymore, they don't make them like they used to. And that's truly unfortunate, as they were absolutely amazing! I cannot explain to you how much I love the Sy & Unknown records. They were my introduction into this scene, and I do believe that the first record I ever heard, which was a UKHC track, is in this mix.
This brings back memories, a lot of memories. This isn't the first Quosh dedication mix I've seen, and it won't be the last one. Boy, I do love this label so much. So sad about its demise, but at least we've got the classics to fall back onto. And those records are dope.
Claxton's mix is dope. So many classics, and they were played at many events. Even to this day people adore them, and I'm one of them. They were great in releasing records with vocals in them, they were the best. And there are too many to pick from.
Seriously, how can you pick one favourite, when the majority of the records are equally as good as each other. All top notch records.
Sad that the label isn't active anymore, but happy that we still have these classics to enjoy. And you should enjoy yourself. Put this mix on, and go nuts!
