Today is Sunday, a very important day for the people in England. Not for me, as I'm not a fan of football, nor will I ever be a football fan. I'd much rather do anything else. And one of the things is listen to excellent music. New music, to be precise. And today's mix was for a podcast series called Everyday Junglist. The mix in question was made by Deselecta. She is, according to the info on Soundcloud, a incredibly talented BADGYAL. Those aren't normally words I would use to describe someone, but in this instance I would use that word.
I'm a noob when it comes to Jungle and Drum & Bass. I've listened to it a lot over the years, but I still have a lot to learn. But I'm eager to learn. I scowl the internet every day, and when I do spot something that might be of interest, I save it to listen to at a later stage. This mix by Deselecta was shared by someone, and I quickly had a look at it. It did come with a tracklist, and it's 66 minutes long. That's just perfect, isn't it? Not too long, not too short, and it's got a tracklist. Couldn't ask for more.
But it's all about the music. And Deselecta has selected a few awesome records, and made this hour and 6 minute long mix an interesting one to listen to. The vibes I get throughout this mix are good, very good. It reminds me of Goldie's first Essential mix, aired on BBC Radio 1. That, to me, is still one of the best mixes I've ever heard. Those vibes I'm getting, and in a weird way, I do feel that Deselecta's mix might outperform that mix, be even better.
It's not just my decision, it's yours. Do you think this mix is super dope? Well, let me show you the songs you can hear in this mix:
Future Forces Inc. - Flash Gordon

This is a very glorious looking and awesome sounding mix. I am a huge fan of this mix, and I've already listened to it a few times in a row. It still blows my speakers to bits, and that's exactly what I needed to hear. And fucking hell, the tunes are awesome too!
This brings back the early day vibes, 90s vibes. And Deselecta has done an amazing job. This mix is really one you should listen to, and absorb. And it might become one of the finest mixes you have ever heard. I know it has become my favourite mix of all time, even beating Goldie's mix, by just a bit. There are two reasons that make this mix better.
''War Fear'' and ''The Clash''. Those two records are just dope as fuck. They make me loose my fucking mind. I don't use the f-word that often, but when I do, you know I mean it. This DJ has done a remarkable job, and made it worth spending an hour and 6 minutes listening to this mix. You won't be disappointed or regretful, but hopeful, happy, and enlightened. This is such a good mix. Trust me.
I've heard many mixes over the years, and this one has to be one of the finest ones ever made. I wasn't expecting it, but it became the greatest. One of the greatest. I am so happy to have discovered it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Let Deselecta take you on a journey. A very pleasant and exciting one.
