I am back. Did you miss me? It's been nearly a week, but I'm back now. There's a reason why I've been quiet for a week: I've moved house. Moved outside of London, to a little town called Stewartby. And obviously moving is a very strenuous task, so my focus was fully on the move. We still have got a fair few things to do, but it's looking OK as we speak. And the internet is working too, so that's a bonus. Our office has been set up now, so now we can be commence 'normality' like it used to be, back in the good ol' days.
But I'm back, and we start off with a brilliant mix by the mighty DJ A.K. His latest mix was only uploaded 7 hours ago, but I quickly snatched it, saved it, and now I'm listening to it. And it's full of brand spanking new Hardcore anthems from the following labels: Brutal Cuts, 24/7, and Future Breakz. All well respected labels, and the artists who have releases on these labels are also well respected, and much loved producers.
You'll certainly love DJ A.K.'s selection. And as I've not heard these new tunes before, they are all exciting to listen to. A lot of exclusives for me. He's picked 23 of the finest records money can buy, and if you put them into a mix blender, the result is a 63 minute long mix, full on Hardcore tracks you certainly need to hear. And I'm not exaggerating. Here, just look at the tracklist, and give me your opinion about the tracks selected.

There are plenty of well known names in here, and a few new ones. This seems to be a very interesting time to dive 'back into' UK Hardcore, if you have lost touch a bit. Like yours truly. Only a handful of mixes do fly by every so often, and it's only today that I fully found myself engulfed into the UK Hardcore sound again, and this time it's all brand spanking new music.
It's been an interesting journey, and the tracks are all solid! Some so fresh and new sounding, and some keeping the 'old' sound alive. There are plenty of examples of tracks which could have been released 10 years ago, but they weren't. All new tracks, but they kept that unique early UK Hardcore vibe throughout the songs.
There are too many awesome records to mention. But two of the reoccurring names in this mix, Darwin and Jack In Box, are certainly the ones I do appreciate the most. Their tunes are just ace. And they are the ones who are putting the early sound into their tracks the most.
This has been an amazing 63 minute long journey through the current UK Hardcore scene, and it's been a blessing. It feels like a proper hug, a nice warm welcome back to the scene. This is the right path it should follow, as the music sounds absolutely insane! More of this, please?!
And also thanks to DJ A.K. for yet another epic mix.
