Fracus & Darwin Vs Thumpa - Hardcore Heaven Summer Session - The Official Mashup Giveaway CD (2012)

Do you remember this disc? Were you one of the lucky ones that got this disc back in the good ol' days? My God, it is 11 years old nearly. Fucking hell, where's the time gone, eh? I seriously wouldn't have a clue how time passed by this quickly. But I do remember getting this disc. Don't know where or when, but it was well after 2012. I think I purchased a few CDs from HU and got it from them? I don't know, but to this day it's one of the few CDs that have stood the test of time, and also the urge I've got to recycle, and throw everything in the bin. But even if I did, I wouldn't be gutted, as the mix is on Thumpa's Soundcloud page.

I had a lot of HU stuff, and also a few ReBuild CDs. Most of them are hopefully recycled as we speak. But this one survived. Why, you might wonder? I honestly couldn't tell you why. Maybe it's because of the music on it? I don't know, but it doesn't matter: I'm listening to it now, straight from Soundcloud. And even when you think about how old this mix is, it makes you a bit scared and afraid, of time and the direction it is moving to. It's just too damn quick, and some of these songs were only released not that long ago (that's how it feels in my head).

I think I spent the most money on music around 2012. But, in my honest opinion, the music was so damn great. You'll see it in a second, when you scroll a bit further down, and look at the tracklist. The music was so different, so damn good. I would say that it was at its height, UK Hardcore, back in 2012. Come on, how can you look at the list and not acknowledge that some of these have become all time classics, and stood the test of time. Well, a decade so far. And they still sound fresh, like the day they were made/released.

This is truly a way back mix. So many dancefloor smashers, most of them completely forgotten about. You would only hear them in specific mixes, dedicated to 10s UK Hardcore. Otherwise they are just forgotten, which is a shame. I do love 2012, it was a fantastic year for the music.

Oh boy, does this make me happy. A mix CD from the golden years. This takes me back, and makes me sad at the same time. Music will never be the same as it used to be, and it used to be great. It also reminds me of those artists who moved on from the scene, and are now doing other things. Only a handful are still active, including Fracus and Darwin, and that's good. They keep it all alive and kicking!

I have got no negative feedback at all. The mix is tight, and the songs are glamorous. They are beautiful. It just makes me feel slightly emotional. But happy too. Just hearing those familiar chords...

Thumpa, Fracus, and Darwin all came together, and made this memorable mix that has gained enough listens so far, but it deserves more and more plays. So if you were too young in 2012, or you've missed out, don't you worry: time for you to go back 11 years and appreciate the UK Hardcore music as it was back then!
