Oh, how I've been out of sight, and out of touch. It turns out that this weekend, for the last time, Qlimax is held. After 24 years they've decided to end it all, and I bet you my life that it's going to be a banger. A proper banger. It's an event I've always wanted to go to, but now I'm too late, which is a bit silly. In my head, events will go on forever and ever, and never stop. But Qlimax isn't here to stay after this year's 'Final Prophecy'
It is sold out, which is obvious. I've read comments from people who've been to most of these Qlimax events, and they want to experience the final send off. It's going to be emotional. The last time, hearing 'Qlimax' coming at you through the speakers. A legacy is coming to an end. Not sure why Q-Dance decided to end it this year though? Who knows? I haven't done proper research, so I'm not able to comment (maybe they have announced it somewhere, but I'm too lazy to look it up).
The reason why I'm talking about Qlimax, even though I'm not going, is because SCANTRAXX had uploaded a brand spanking new mix, commemorating Qlimax and the awesome tunes you would have heard at the event, or found on the CDs. And you know I'm a sucker for 'early' Hardstyle, right? If you didn't, now you know. And this mix is literally packed with the tunes I adore. Including one I've only recently discovered, and will do some serious damage in my head

What a mix. So many great anthems from days gone by. If these and similar anthems are played this weekend, I know the ravers will be extremely happy.
It's coming to an end. So many years, so many memories (I do not have, unfortunately). I did buy many of the CDs back in the noughties, but those days are gone, and Qlimax will be too. But it will remain in people's heads for years to come. There's a certain legacy linked to the event, which will never fade away.
I did love this mix a lot. And it has been on repeat for hours. Not kidding. I discovered it this morning, and it's been on repeat ever since. The tracks selected are all awesome, and some even brought a tear to my eye. Just thinking back on how awesome they were when they were released, and how quickly time does fly by.
Obviously the big anthems are in here, and 'Angel' is one of the undoubted best Hardstyle anthem of all time. But I'm going to give it to 'Live Forever'. Only discovered it yesterday, and I'm already in love. Yes, I'm a sucker for Headhunterz's anthems.
A fantastic mix, but it's all about the party, about Qlimax. If you are going, have a wonderful time, and give it a send off it deserves. And who knows, they might bring it back one day. One day...
