If you see these two together, a light in your head will go on. And if not, you are too young and you have not lived during the time when Trance music was created and when it became one of the biggest styles in the world. It's of course DJ Ferry Corsten and Tiesto, a.k.a. Gouryella. One of the world's first Trance duos that made it big, really big. And even nowadays the Gouryella tracks are seen as the best of the best in our Trance history.
If I'm honest, and I normally am quite honest, Gouryella did appear on many CDs when I started a craving for new music, and when it became Trance music, I bought literally everything Arcade (record label) released. From the cheesiest to the dopest compilations, and on each and every one of them Gouryella appeared. Also Tiesto and Ferry Corsten separately, but Gouryella. Boy, those were the days. Trance music now and then, it's like two different worlds.
I never knew that Tiesto only stayed for three records and after that f**ked off. Well, he's one of the best paid DJs in the world right now, so the decisions he has made in the past has done him well. But with Gouryella he and Ferry created something unique and exciting, and Ferry still keeps it alive and kicking in 2018.

I remember these tunes like they were made yesterday, but it's more like yesteryear! When I saw Tiesto play during the early 00s and he played Gouryella with Gouryella, the roof just blew up! Seriously, everyone went mad! And you can play it now, in 2018, and people will get euphoric, and in a state of absolute bliss. The music they created is just pure bliss!

Of course 'Gouryella' is the best record in this mix, closely followed by 'Ligaya'. What a mesmerizing record, and what an amazing way of producing records. This kind of Trance music has been lost forever, with the new sound being more focussed for the EDM kids, but please, let's never forget when Trance was greater than life. When it wasn't about having a selfie on a big event and filming everything on Snapchat. It was about closing your eyes, lifting your arms high up, and letting the music take you to the next level. No mobile phone nonsense. Pure.
