Only a few hands ago did this album see the light of day, and already can you find a DJ mix on Soundcloud. And I could just let this mix go by, but I simply couldn't resist. Another mix by DJ Jehuty, who has made a shit ton of mixes already, so if you are into Hardcore, you will be assured that his Soundcloud page is the right place to be. But for now, let's focus on the mix. As mentioned, these are all tracks from Masters Of Hardcore's latest CD, which is called 'Insurrection'.
As the whole world has 'stopped' raving, I lost track of albums being released. That's all my fault, it's me being extremely lazy. Soundcloud and Youtube are the only pages I visit lately, can't be arsed to go on Facebook or anywhere else much. Hence why I've missed the release of this album. But for this latest MoH album they've yet again got the biggest Hardcore superstar producers on one disc.
As previously mentioned, I'm not following the current Hardcore scene, and that's because I'm getting older now, and start focussing more on the early Hardcore and Millennium Hardcore. Still a big fan of MoH, but the newer sound sometimes doesn't appeal to me. So, crazy Dutchman, why the fuck are you listening to an album which contains only new and fresh Hardcore anthems, huh? Explain yourself? Well, I can. I just wanted to know what the current sound sounds like. Yes, that's a cheesy answer, but it does make sense in my head.
So which 16 records can you find on the album? Well, these 16:
Anime - No Matter
DJ Mad Dog - MEAN STREETS
Angerfist & Miss K8 - Break Of Dawn
Tha Playah - Stand Up
Evil Activities & Korsakoff - Shadows
Re-Style - We Are Hardcore
Nosferatu - Play With The Rhythm
N-Vitral & MC Jeff - The Butcher
Restrained - Rulebreaker
Never Surrender & Brutaal - Ready To Rage
Furyan - The Impossible
Deadly Guns - The Fear Inside
D-Fence - Integrity
Broken Minds - Storm In The Quiet
DRS & Madsin - Lockdown
Andy The Core & MBK - Crazy Things At Night
I have to say that my first impression of this album is quite good. As it's still not my favourite kind of Hardcore, it still impressed me a lot, and a few records even came close to being 'awesome'. One record even touched the old skool vibes a lot, and that's the one that I like the most. But which one that is, I'll keep a secret for now.
I don't know how to explain it, but sometimes it's a tad too hard and rough for me. And not that extremely diverse as I wanted it to be. But this album did surprise me. And Jehuty has done a nice job, mixing these 16 records all together nicely.
I am someone who appreciates the early sound, and am a fan of melodic Hardcore. Guess where it takes me? To 'Play With The Rhythm' by Nosferatu. It is hard as balls, but it's got those kicks and beats from the early years, and that's what I like. A tad of everything, all crammed together in one wicked record by Nosferatu. And of course the Uptempo sound had to be used for this record too, but that I can forgive Nosferatu.
I do like 'We Are Hardcore' and 'Shadows' and 'Break Of Dawn'. Or even 'The Impossible'. Well, a few good anthems on here, which I will doubtfully hear everywhere soon. They will appear in many mixes and once the world is allowed to rave again, at raves all over the globe. But for now you can just purchase the album and have your MoH fix, if you are desperate for it.
