Mike Dierickx (Push) Tribute Mix

Monday, bank holiday, is behind us, and the UK is now getting back to work. It's been a weird three day weekend for many of us, but we have to keep calm, and carry on. We are good at doing that, and I'm here to help you all to stay calm. How, you might be wondering? Well, by providing you with a wicked mix, uploaded on Trance Classics' Soundcloud channel, and guess what kind of music this mix is focussed on? Yes, you guessed it, Trance. Specifically tracks made by the legendary and all-mighty Push, a.k.a. M.I.K.E., a.k.a. P.U.S.H., and more aliases you probably never heard of. This legendary producer has given us a lot of excellent Trance anthems, and he might have been busy since the early 90s, but around the Millennium his music reached next level status. He became a God, literally!

His discography is immense, and there's no other producer that can come close to what he has released over the years, and the man is still a busy bee! But to me, his Millennium sound was and still is the best. Fight me in the comments if you disagree. But you know you can't. Mike PUSH is a legend, and his music has become timeless classics. Highly regarded in the Trance scene. You cannot listen to a 'best of' Trance CD or music list on your streaming devices without having at least 1 or 2 Push records in it. You just cannot do that.

Trance Classics made this dedication mix, and uploaded it yesterday onto Soundcloud, and even though it is still fairly fresh, a few comments have already been posted, and they've all been positive. But how it not be positive, it's a Mike Push mix! Well, not made by him, but the attention is all towards the tracks made by him. And I cannot imagine another way of waking up today, and getting ready for work. You will definitely want to listen to this mix, and you want to do it right now!

Push has used a lot of aliases, and even though I know most of them, there are still a few out there I've not heard before. It's a new day, new things to learn. But what I don't need to learn and I already know, is that this is probably the finest producer we've ever seen in the Trance scene!

But which tracks were played by Trance Classics? You are wondering, but worry no longer:

  1. Mass Effect - Alphascan

  2. Push - Strange World (2000 Remake)

  3. Push - The Legacy

  4. Push vs Globe - Tranceformation

  5. Moon Project - Moments Are Forever

  6. M.I.K.E. vs John OO Fleming - Ice Cream (M.I.K.E. Remix)

  7. Push - Tranzy State Of Mind

  8. Exposure - Magic Impulse

  9. Plastic Boy - Silver Bath

  10. Push - Till We Meet Again

  11. Solar Factor - Urban Shakedown

  12. Plastic Boy - Twixt

  13. M.I.K.E. - Sunrise At Palamos

  14. Mauro Picotto - Back To Cali (Push Remix)

  15. Extreme Trax - Final Fantasy

  16. Push - Universal Nation

One question I've got for Mike a.k.a. Push, did he knew how powerful his songs would be when he made them? Did he know they would become all time classics? Did he know the strength behind each record, and that they would become timeless? Did he know? He must have known, right?

This is such an awesome mix. Seriously, the amount of awesome tracks is insane! But we knew that already. But the sheer quality of each song is beyond belief. Push, or whatever alias he uses, is just a God. Each song is quality over quantity, and Trance Classics takes us through the best years of Push. As mentioned before, he's been releasing music since around 1994, but it's the Millennium stuff which reigns supreme!

His music did have a distinctive sound, but that's just how we like it. You can tell when Mike has been involved.

A wicked mix, and with a few of Mike's biggest hits, like 'Universal Nation', 'The Legacy', 'Strange World', but to me 'Urban Shakedown' has to be his biggest. What a monster anthem. Goosebumps whenever I hear it. Heard it first being played at Tiesto in Concert many years ago, and it never failed to impress me ever since.

Thanks Trance Classics for making this mix, and making my Tuesday morning slightly better!
