Only a few weeks ago did I do a review of a DJ Brisk appreciation mix, and now it's time for yet another appreciation mix. The previous mix was made by DJ Adrenalin, and so is this one. And as you've seen from the title, this is a Scott Brown mix. And hour and a half long mix, Scott Brown and nothing else. It's like Christmas has come early this year. Who doesn't like this legendary DJ and producer from Scotland? Starting in the early 90s, he's still going strong in the Hardcore scene. A legend, and that might be just an understated statement. He's so much more than that!
I do love me a bit of Scott Brown. Or even one of his aliases, like Plus System, Q-Tex, Interstate, and many more. Scott has got this recognisable sound, a sound that resonated through the Hardcore scene, be it the happier 'UK' side of Hardcore to the harder stuff, the more 'NL' sounding Hardcore. He's done it all, and his songs have appeared on many compilations. Not only that, he has played at the biggest events. That's just awesome, right?
I am a fan, and have listened to his songs for many decades now. Starting back in the 90s. It was probably Thunderdome 6, which made me realise that there's this Scottish producer who makes music. Not realising that his music is awesome, I slowly started to appreciate more and more of his songs. The pinnacle (for me) was when I discovered UK Hardcore and all that Scott had to offer. My God, his UKHC side is just tremendously good.
To me, he's one of the leaders of the UKHC scene. His music is like by many and also danced to by the masses, and he's an overall nice guy. Couldn't wish for more, right? Well, could wish for a dedication mix, to showcase what Scott has made. And that's exactly what I'm listening to right now!

What a tracklist. Speechless. That's what I am. Speechless. Lost for words. This is insane. Even now am I introduced to records I've not heard before. Yes, I did have most of Scott's albums, but there are still a few out there I do not have. So there's still unheard music out there for me to discover. And today's mix has shown me a few 'new' anthems.
Scott must have made a gazillion records, so to compose a mix with ALL of his records, that's just impossible. So you might 'miss' a few of his big hits in here. But don't worry, Soundcloud has got a lot to offer. Just search for it, and you'll find mixes that contain those records.
Adrenalin's selection is great. So many awesome anthems. Not all of them. Maybe he'll do another one in the near future with the 'other' anthems, who knows. But for now, these 24 records will do the trick.
Best record? 'Livewired'. Every time I hear this anthem, it hits. It hits hard!
I've got only love and appreciation for this mix. The tracks are awesome, and they are nicely mixed together. The hour and a bit will fly by. There are some tiny mixing errors, but nothing major. Nothing off putting. And this mix has had positive feedback, so I'm not the only one who loves this mix. Go and check it out, right now! Why? Now is the time...
