I don't need to explain who DJ Brisk is. If you are a die-hard UK Hardcore fanatic, you know this legendary DJ and producer, who's been in the scene for quite some time now. He's played at all the big events in the UK and abroad, and he's been a very influential producer and DJ to many. His biggest success was when the UKHC scene was at it's peak, during the 90s, and his records were well received on the dancefloor. A legend, that's for sure, with an extensive music catalogue that spans multiple decades.
Still active in the scene, but nowadays mainly focussing on DJing through certain online platforms. If you aren't following him, you might miss a lot of his sets that he does. It would be a great thing to give him a follow, so you won't miss out on anything Brisk related. But for now, let's focus on Brisk's producing side and what Adrenalin has made.
It's a fan mix, an appreciation mix. And according to Adrenalin, Brisk has always been one of his favourite DJs, and an inspiration to him. So as a thank you to Brisk, he made this mix, which contains 12 records , and it's less than an hour long. Obviously it contains the big hits, but there's also a few records I've not even heard of. And did you know he had an alias, which was Quicksilver? Who knew?

I've been following Brisk for many years now, and I've heard many of his songs, but there are still songs out there I've not encountered before. There's a few in here that I've not heard before. And more out there.
Of course Adrenalin had to start with 'Airhead', one of the biggest tunes in the 90s. You could not buy a compilation without this song being on it. Or 'Six Days', that was yet another smashing record. But I'm more interested in the records you don't hear that often, and I do believe that in this set, 'Get Live' is the best record, by miles. Proper 90s Happy Hardcore vibes coming through my speakers now.
This is a great set with some blinding anthems. We need more of these mixes, where the known meets the unknown. It's always great to introduce a new audience to the forgotten gems, and get those back on people's radar, if they did forget these anthems even existed.
A solid mix. And I'm going to use a phrase that many 'old' people use: they don't make them like they used to. And I do believe that. You won't be hearing these sounds in current day songs anymore. Unless your name is David Guetta and you are doing this to cash in. But this sound remains so unique and 90s. It should come back.
Brisk, bring back the Happy Hardcore. And bring it back right NOW!
