After us returning from our well deserved holiday, I've been slightly pre-occupied. I've been busy with my day-to-day job, so I had no time to review. Which is obviously a pity to the two readers I have. I tried, but work just took over everything. And my hobby had to be pushed back slightly. But today I found an hour of uninterrupted bliss, so I decided to fill it with a well deserved review. And it's a review of a mix that contains records by one of my favourite artists: Headhunterz. Yes, I said it, I do appreciate his music. And I bet you that I'm not the only one.
This mix is roughly 5 years old, but still rocks. It does not, for obvious reasons, contain Headhunterz's more recent stuff, but what he made up to 5 years ago still rocks. I cannot say when I first discovered Headhunterz, but it's a long time ago. And over the years I started to appreciate his music more, when it became more melodic, more euphoric. His first few 'major' records were OK, but it's when he made the step to euphoric Hardstyle, that's when he really came to life.
His music makes me happy. It gives me enough energy to keep me going. And that's what I listened to this week, at work. I needed that bit of additional power coffee and other substances weren't giving me. The power this music has, is tremendous. It gives you the feels, right? Or am I the only one who thinks that way?

This is a very nice collection of some of Headhunterz's finest records. Nearly 3 1/2 hours of Heady, you need to hear this. Unless you think that Headhunterz is shit. If that's the case, please go away, and read another review, but not this one.
Obviously I know the majority of these records, and I've heard them a million times over the years, but sometimes, with mixes like this one, you discover 'new' music, songs you've not encountered before. Hell, there's still enough out there I've not heard before, but when it does hit you, and it hits you hard, you know your day will be instantaneously well.
There's one record that blew me away. 'One Without A Second' by Project One. My Gawd, why have I not heard this one before? Or maybe I have, but it got buried underneath the sheer scale of Headhunterz's back catalogue. What a tremendously insane record, love it the most right now.
Obviously throughout the years, Headhunterz had to find his 'sound', so during the first few years he made records that were OK, but not great, and some have made their way into this mix. But it's the more euphoric stuff that does it all for me. And there's a lot of those records in here too.
It's not a flawless mix. A few mixing errors, a few fadings that did not go well as hoped. But still this mix is quite good. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I hope you do enjoy it too.
Ok, the worst record in this mix? 'Jamaican Way'. Nope. Not for me.
