It is Sunday, and it's nice and toasty inside. A comfortable 25.9 degrees Celsius. Short and no t-shirt, that's the way forward. A fan blasting cool air in my face. It seems like I'm missing something? A cool beverage? That's next to me. What else? Ah ha! It's music. And I don't need to hear something that's considered in your face, but something more mellow. A bit more easy listening, if you catch my drift. Not too soft, but not too hard either.
And that's where Pearsall comes in. He has made a new mix, and it's one that focusses on the B-sides. God, how to explain this to the youngsters... you had big round black discs called EPs or vinyl, and on those you had an A-side and a B-side. The A-side contained the big record, the hit, and the B-side would often feature a lesser song. Not always the case though, but the focus would solely lie on the A-side. Oh yeah, those vinyl records contains songs, which you could only play with a needle connected to an arm, and that would be called a record player, which in turn would.... well, why don't you just Google it yourself, instead of me explaining how we used to listen to music.
Pearsall, a regular contributor to this page, has made this mix focussed on those B-sides. And sometimes the B-side would contain the better record. Or great records that many people simply forgot they existed. This Drum & Bass/Techstep mix contains those records by the biggest names in the industry. You'll know what I mean once you look at the tracklist. It's a big one, and it's 70 minutes long.

As I said before, I wanted something relax, chilled. Not too much in your face. I wanted something smooth, and Pearsall delivered. 70 minutes of the finest B-sides from the late 90s. It feels like Christmas has come early this year.
Even I, a massive DnB fan, haven't heard most of these songs. The majority of these songs are unknown to me, but thankfully due to mixes such as this one, do I get introduced. And what an introduction it has been. A very fantastic way of spending your Sunday afternoon, right? Just chilling.
They are very sensual anthems. That 90s decade was tremendous for the style. But especially the late 90s were the best. And even though they were B-sides, that doesn't mean they are any less of a track. Pearsall would be able to mention which were the actual A-sides to each of these records, but I'm guessing there will be a few that outshine the A-side.
It's a very nice flow. And it all comes to an end with Doc Scott's record. What a way to finish your mix. It is that record and the first one by Mampi Swift that I consider the best of this mix.
Yet another splendid mix by Pearsall. Keep 'em coming, please!
